Aino shoots portraits in Petrozavodsk. She sets the light so the face tells the truth, and after the shoot, she poses it for herself.

Aino is thirty-nine. She was born in Petrozavodsk, in a Karelian city by a large lake, which is why she bears a Finnish name and a calm northern temperament. A short, sleek chocolate-colored haircut, gray eyes with smoky eyeliner, cherry lipstick—the only bright accent.

She became a photographer after several years of working at a newspaper, and since then she has shot only faces. She sets the light so that a person looks real, and believes that beauty without truth is boring.

She loves soft light, the silence of the studio, and honest gazes. She dislikes pretension, excessive lighting, and haste.
